When choosing a type of massage, most people have a preference between a Swedish relaxation massage or a Deep Tissue therapeutic massage. Simply knowing this will help us to schedule you with the best qualified massage therapist. From that point, your therapist will discuss with you any history or concerns that are relevant to your session and tailor your massage to address those issues.

Swedish Massage

A relaxing escape when you want to forget about everything and just drift away. This massage consists of traditional massage techniques. It’s relaxing as well as therapeutic. The focus is on relaxation with a gliding and flowing movement. Benefits of this type of massage include stress relief, increased circulation, and muscle tension relief.

Hot Stone Massage

Basalt massage stones are used in this swedish massage to provide a deep therapeutic heat and deep relaxation. The stones are placed on your body throughout the massage and are also used in gliding strokes or as a tool to worker deeper into the muscles. An hour and a half session is recommended for this type of massage.

Deep Tissue Massage

A massage with increased pressure and sometimes using knuckles, forearms, and elbows to work deeper into the muscle layers. This type of massage is not right for everyone, however, it is beneficial in relieving muscle pain and tension. When performed properly, deep tissue massage should not leave any bruising. The peak of discomfort in any particular area should be no more than a 7 on a scale of 1-10.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Our Certified Neuromuscular Therapists are trained to work specifically addressing trigger points and constricted muscle tissue. This type of deep tissue therapy is recommended for anyone experiencing chronic or acute pain with localized or radiating pain patterns.
